The Learning Difficulties Australia organisation really does produce some fantastic articles and information.
IFERI - An international collaboration to drive effective practice for literacy instruction

A new organization, the International Foundation for Effective Reading Instruction (IFERI), has recently been established with the aim of providing an international focus for promoting effective reading instruction. For information about the organization and their aims see the IFERI website. The website includes links to critical papers and reports that document the scientific evidence relating to how children learn to read and how best to teach them, as well as resources and guidance to provide practical support for teachers, learners and parents. See for example Dr Marlynne Grant’s talk at the UK researchED Conference in 2014 on ‘What works to achieve accurate and confident literacy for whole classes of children from Reception to Secondary’, Debbie Hepplewhite's opening talk at the UK Reading Reform Foundation Conference in March 2015, on ‘Does it really matter if teachers do not share a common understanding about phonics and reading instruction? and a new paper by Sir Jim Rose on ‘Why Children Fail to Read’.
