LDA is an association of teachers and other professionals dedicated to assisting students with learning difficulties through effective teaching practices based on scientific research.
LDA invites membership applications, but there is an enormous amount of information, including carefully collated research papers, available to non-members. Of particular interest is the research regarding Reading Recovery. The LDA Bulletin is occasionally made available to non-members – and should be on everyone’s reading list. Written by eminent experts it is a current, comprehensive and extremely high quality publication.
A useful place to find helpful blogs and websites with a wealth of information about reading.
