Literacy specialist, John Bald, describes his visit to Michaela - a school causing a great deal of interest in England because of the very different approach taken to educating its pupils:

To me, the most important point made from the ethos and work at Michaela is the determination that every single child can and will achieve well - and the mechanisms are put in place to make sure this happens!
It is not enough to have 'high expectations' - how can we manifest our high expectations?
