Awards for Professor Anne Castles and Professor Pamela Snow

Congratulations to two Australian friends of IFERI - Professor Anne Castles http://www.cogsci.mq.edu.au/members/pro ... memberID=4 (Macquarie University in New South Wales) and Professor Pamela Snow http://www.latrobe.edu.au/she/staff/pro ... ame=pcsnow (La Trobe University in Victoria), who have recently been honoured with Learning Difficulties of Australia (LDA) Awards.
Anne was awarded the Eminent Researcher Award for her distinguished research on reading development and developmental dyslexia, through the lens of cognitive science.
Pamela's Mona Tobias Award recognises her contribution to understanding the role that impoverished language and literacy skills play in social marginalisation and the complex educational and support needs of vulnerable young people.
Anne and Pamela were presented with their awards by outgoing President, Dr Lorraine Hammond, of Edith Cowan University (Western Australia) at the recent LDA Anual General Meeting.
